The Ethics of Babysitting
Part Four
by Alex Reynard

*****************

WARNING!! The following story contains explicit sexual acts between furries, one of whom *appears* underage. It also contains ethical concepts which you may or may not agree with. If you are offended by such subject matter, or if you are under the legal age to view such material in your area, do not read any further. By doing so, you agree to take full responsibility for your actions in reading this story. I take no responsibility for anything you may happen to do or read.

This story is intended as fantasy only and any resemblance to real events, past or present, is entirely coincidental and probably a huge delusion. If, after all that, you still want to read this story, enjoy. =^.^= It contains gender transformation, babysitting, diapers, magic, and some other stuff.

This is the fourth story in the series, and the first one to be helmed by someone other than the incomparable Alfador. I, Alex Reynard (creator of 'Ghost Story', 'Bartleby's Descent' and other cubbie adventures), decided to take up the mantle partly because I got a really interesting idea for this, and also because Alfador's just been such a great friend and has done some really nifty stuff with the Bartleby universe too.

If you'll recall, in our last episode, John the raccoon and Alfie, his transdimensional genderbending kitsune kit lover, had embarked upon a journey to help little cubs in distress, wherever they may be. This time around, they are called to act in a very unexpected way...

One final note. The (original) author requests that this story NOT be discussed or even referred to in ANY forum or medium other than personal email, for reasons of privacy. Do NOT distribute. Seriously.

(Actually, one MORE final note: I asked Alfador about this, and he informed me that while Alfie can switch from boy to girl and back at will, he's usually a boy, and so will appear as a 'he' in past tense or in unspecified blocks of time. Hope that helps.)

A few weeks after Alfie & John's first babysitting job together...

John was woken up, as he was on many mornings, by a cold little fox nose nuzzling his feet.

He pretended to still be asleep as Alfie giggled and tickled his paws again. The handsome raccoon smiled and tried to keep silent, wanting to tease his little lover too.

Alfie finally got fed up with the subtle approach and simply backed up a few steps, then came charging forward, leaping up onto the bed with a cry of "Banzai!!!"

Laughing together, John rolled over and quickly scooped up the naughty kit. Happy giggles filled the calm morning air. Both of them bathed in the warm bubbly feelings of just being able to be together.

While tickling the kitsune's tummy, John realized that today, Alfie had chosen to be a boy. That seemed to be Alfie's usual gender; like a default setting. John gave the fox's diaper a pat, feeling a small, soft bulge in the front (which made Alfie coo happily), but none of the usual wetness. "You didn't use your diaper last night," the raccoon remarked.

Alfie nodded. "I was saving it just for you." The little fox grinned and scrunched his paws up into little fists, concentrating. A moment later, there came a tiny fart sound, quickly followed by a rich, earthy aroma.

John laughed. "Naughty fox!" he said warmly. Only kidding, of course. He picked the little kit up in his arms and held him close while Alfie filled his diaper.

	"All done," Alfie said demurely.

"I can see that," John replied, patting the little bulge in the kit's diaper, hearing the plastic crinkle cutely.

"I think there's still a little more though..." The fox pup took hold of his lover's paw and placed it gently on the front of his diaper again, between his chubby cubby legs. He closed his eyes serenely, and a moment later John could hear, and feel, a warmth spreading as Alfie peed.

"What a good boy," John said. He gave his dear kit a tender kiss between his little soft ears.

Alfie cooed in pleasure, snuggling into his lover's fluffy chestfur, enjoying the light musk of John's personal scent.

"I'm hungry, squirt," John said after a short while of quiet cuddling. "How 'bout some breakfast?"

"Oh boy!" Alfie said, eyes wide and tails wagging happily.

Carefully lifting the little magic pup up in his arms, John went out to the kitchen and sat Alfie down in a special booster seat they'd found cheap at a yard sale a few days ago. While Alfie's three tails continued to wag, John surveyed the cabinets. They were getting low on food, which he mentioned to Alfie. Well, he'd been planning to go downtown to get a pack of blank CD-Rs anyway, so tacking on a trip to the grocery store would work out quite nicely.

There was, at least, a little bit of oatmeal left, which John graciously gave to Alfie (which meant all *he'd* get this morning was a stray Toaster Tart). The little fox thanked his grownup lover again and again, pouring gobs of honey and cinnamon on his bowl before stirring vigorously and digging in. He got quite a bit of it in his fur and whiskers, but only because he knew John thought it looked cute, and because they often had fun together getting him cleaned up afterwards. This time, John kissed away every last oat. Alfie giggled and squirmed blissfully.

After the nummy breakfast it was changing time. Alfie certainly wouldn't have minded staying in his full diaper a bit longer, but when the choice came down to staying messy, or the fun of a change, the change won out every time. John laid the little kitsune down on the table on a comfy blue blanket and Alfie kept still, being quiet and cooperative.

"Let's see what we've got here," John said, releasing the tabs on either side of the diaper. A waft of foxie poo-scent hit his nose, but he didn't mind a bit. He loved changing his sweet fox as much as Alfie loved being changed. Especially getting to see those adorable little boybits! Alfie's tiny ballsac quivered, and a little bit of pink poked out from his fuzzy sheath. John gave the furry little pocket a tickle, and both of them giggled.

Alfie closed his eyes and made contented little murrs as John wiped him down with a cool, moist cloth, getting him all clean again. The old diaper was whisked away. A brand new one was placed snugly under his little bottom in its place. A sprinkle of baby powder and it was all done. Or was it?

John couldn't resist his cuddly little sweetheart's genitals. He leaned in close to sniff them lightly, then touched his nose to the immeasurably soft fur of Alfie's sheath. The little fox moaned, and his pinkness emerged into the morning sun. John took a lick, then began to lovingly suck on the little cock. Alfie wiggled and wagged his three tails. "Oh John! Oh, that feels wonderful!"

"I love you so much, Alfie," John said quickly, in between slurps. "You've made my life so happy!"

Alfie softly moaned at how proud those words made him feel, as well as the incredible sensations coming from his boyplace! Soon, he could resist no longer, and squirted a little spurt of kitsune-cum, sweeter than sugar, into his grownup lover's mouth.

Afterwards, John quickly fastened Alfie's new diaper and pulled him into a silent hug, nuzzling the boy's blue headfur, nibbling his ears. "You're my little miracle, Alfie. I love you."

"I love you too, John. I love being with you and making you happy."

"And I love making you happy too..."

Once the morning chores were done and they'd both enjoyed some strenuous cuddling and playing together, it was time to head downtown for some shopping.

Alfie bounded out to the car with a smile on his muzzle as big as a whale. He hopped up into the passenger seat and waited for John to buckle him in.

As John did, a thought struck him. "Shouldn't you be in a carseat?"

"Well, remember; I'm not a real toddler. I'm pretty much indestructible, when I want to be."

"True, but it might not be a bad idea to have one anyway, just for appearance's sake," the raccoon reasoned.

"Good idea," Alfie agreed. "We could try looking for one at another yard sale."

	"Indeed we could."

It was a relatively long drive to their first stop, the computer store, and John and Alfie made the most of it by recounting all their successful cub-helping excursions so far and brainstorming ideas to reach even more little ones in need. Ever since helping Amy, the little skunk girl, find the perfect balance of respect and yiff in her own relationship with her daddy, they had been on a fantastic streak of discovering problems and then helping them get solved.

After Amy, their next babysitting job had been a breeze. The little ferret boy had been blessed with a loving family, and his only problem seemed to be a bit of excess energy. He and Alfie had played games all night long until the young mustelid collapsed into bed, snoring serenely.

But later on that week, they had encountered another boy who did indeed have a problem. He was *still* wetting the bed, even at ten years old, and his subsequent terror of other kids at school finding this out haunted him every day. Alfie and the young tiger cub had a long talk about it, how his problem was no different than any other medical condition and it was nothing he should have to feel ashamed of. Alfie had also glanced over the boy's class photo and, with a bit of magic, pointed out three other kids his age who also woke up wet on occasion! And one of them was the coolest kid in class! That made the little tiger feel much, much better.

Another babysitting job had brought them into contact with a young brown bear whose teacher at school kept touching her in places that made her feel funny She wasn't at all sure if he was being bad, or just didn't realize how it was affecting her. Alfie (this time a girl), had asked the bear to describe exactly what was going on. Though from her description, either possibility seemed equally likely. Alfie suggested that the next day, the girl should talk with her teacher and politely tell him to stop. The little magic vixen promised she would be there, hidden, in case anything went wrong.

To everyone's relief though, the meeting went as well as could possibly be expected. The young bear asked to stay behind at lunch, and had bravely told her teacher, a male coyote, all about the problem and how it made her feel. The teacher was horrified to realize he'd been making her so uncomfortable, and had apologized over and over with deep sincerity in his eyes. And now that the girl knew for sure that he hadn't meant to upset her (and wasn't one of those pervert guys she'd heard about on the news), she told him she didn't mind a few touches now and then. He nodded and gave her a hug. ...And made sure to ask permission first.

With thoughts of past victories in his head, Alfie gazed dreamily out the car window, just barely registering the fursons passing along the sidewalks as they went.

John's thoughts were not entirely in reality either, but he did happen to notice a young cat girl, no more than eight, being led along by the paw by a very tall man in a dark suit.

Her eyes... She looked so scared...

He turned to mention this to Alfie, and was shocked when he saw his precious fox had gone stiff as stone!

	"Alfie!! What's wrong!? What happened?"

His eyes wide with terror and tears, Alfie cried out, "Stop the car right now!!"

Luck was with them, since a parking spot was available just a few feet away. John parallel parked with more ease than he thought possible, then turned to console his trembling kit. "What is it? Please, sweetheart, tell me!"

"Did you see that kitty girl go past? And the big man with her?" he asked, his voice quaking.

"Yes, actually. Is something the matter with-"

	"He's going to kill her!!!"

Shocked beyond words, John recoiled and a few meaningless syllables tumbled out of his mouth before he could regain control. "What do you mean? How can we help her!?"

"Just as we were driving by, I got a strong emotional image from her. The big man's part of a child prostitution ring, and they're going to get rid of her because she hasn't been making them enough money!"

"Can you save her?" John asked desperately.

Alfie's small face hardened, becoming strong and determined. "I'll try."

The child was led upstairs to Mr. Kent's office.

It was a very nice office. Perfectly respectable-looking. One would never guess it was a place where the selling of children like merchandise occurred. And yet it did. Right in the middle of downtown. With no one else the wiser.

Clutching the brat's paw tight in an iron grip, Edward pushed her through the door into the main room. There sat Mr. Kent behind the desk. Mr. Kent was the boss. He handled all the money and never got his hands dirty. Except sometimes, he liked to watch. Like now.

"You've been a bad girl," he said smoothly.

The girl, a kitten only seven years old, had been used for sex as long as she could remember. Her small cunny was stretched beyond recognition and was covered in small scars where evil men had forced their way inside her. She trembled before Mr. Kent, looking down at the floor and her tawny yellow paws. Her tail hung low. She did not speak a word, and tried her best to hold back tears.

"How long's it been since she turned a profit?" Mr. Kent asked.

"Least a month," Edward responded. Edward was big and frightening. He was a black puma, and knew many, many ways to use his appearance to terrify smaller fursons into submission. He clutched the kitten's paw tighter, making her squeak in pain.

"A month? Tsk tsk, that's very bad," Mr. Kent said, as casual as if her were discussing the stock market. He was a bobcat, and fat as a pumpkin. But his suits were always impeccably tailored to make him look as important as he deemed himself to be. "You know what happens to my girls after a month with no profits, don't you?

The girl did not say a thing. She knew.

	Mr. Kent nodded to Edward.

Finally letting go of the girl's paw, Edward let her scamper away while he went to a small cabinet in the corner of the room. He did not worry about the girl escaping. There was no way she possibly could.

He pulled on a pair of long rubber gloves. From the cabinet, he selected a large plastic sheet, and a small black handgun.

The girl had retreated to a corner of the room, sobbing pitifully. Edward retrieved her. His claws poked deep into the skin of her arm.

Having laid out the plastic sheet in front of Mr. Kent's desk, Edward made her stand in the center of it. She trembled, crying, shivering, but not daring to move.

Mr. Kent addressed her. "Now, my child, you know you must be punished. And you know what your punishment must be. We can do this the easy way or the hard way. Quick and pain-free... or long, drawn-out, and more excruciating than you can possibly imagine. Which do you choose?"

The girl said nothing. She merely straightened up, and looked him in the eye.

	"Good," said Mr, Kent.

	Edward raised the gun.

The girl's eyes bored into the bloated bobcat's own.

Mr. Kent grinned obscenely in anticipation.

	Edward pulled the trigger.

	*BANG*

	*BANG*

	*BANG*

Three shots. One to the head, one to the chest, and another to the head to make sure. All fired in rapid succession.

But when it was over, the girl was still standing.

Edward and Mr. Kent stared at her in disbelief. Blood drained freely from the three gunshots, but the girl had not moved an inch.

Her eyes grew dark with hate.

A low growl formed in her throat.

Before either of the men had time to react, the girl's skin split down the center like a rubber suit, and the dragon emerged. It was as long as a bus, jade green, and covered in ornamental spikes and scales. Its serpentine length uncoiled from the girl's skin at an impossible rate, filling the room in seconds. Its eyes were yellow and red and black, and burning with the fiercest hatred either man had ever seen.

Before they could even utter a word, it was upon them.

And then they screamed and screamed. Like little children.

There were two loud gulps, then everything was silent.

Several blocks away, John was holding a young yellow tabby girl in his arms while she cried her eyes out. She could *still* not believe what had happened. One moment she had been facing imminent death, the next, she had heard a voice in her mind. A little vixen's voice, telling her to relax and not be afraid. Then she'd suddenly found herself in this stranger's car, and he was giving her a hug.

They sat like that for several minutes, neither of them having any real idea of what was going on. The girl couldn't even find the strength to speak her name, or ask what her rescuer's was. She could only cry, letting out all of the horror and sorrow and relief and confusion inside her.

Alfie returned several minutes later. The little vixen pulled the car doors open and stepped inside, and then she began to cry too.

The girls instinctively turned towards one another and were soon hugging, weeping and comforting each other with all their hearts.

John could only sit by and watch, and wonder what had just gone on in that office across the street.

After several minutes, the tabby's sobs had subsided enough to allow her to ask, "Who are you?"

"I'm Alfie," the little fox said. "And I'm not really three years old, I just happen to look like that today." To prove it, she instantly shifted, gaining a few more years so that she and the other girl were the same age.

The kitten gasped. "What's going on!?" she hollered.

"Shh, shh. Calm down," Alfie said. "This is my friend John. He and I rescued you."

John blushed. "Well, you did all the work, Alfie. What happened in there, anyway?"

"I wanna know that too," the kitten said. "Did you... teleport me?" she asked, fearful she might be going nuts.

Alfie nodded. "Yup. I couldn't think of any other way to get you out of there quickly enough. Teleportation's usually really hard, but it IS made easier when roughly equal masses, like you and me, transit in opposite directions. An as soon as you were safe, I took on your form. Then that rotten puma made me stand on some plastic in front of a desk and a big fat guy and he shot me."

"He WHAT!?" John yelped. "You're okay, right!?"

"Of course, John! Don't worry!" Alfie said reassuringly. "I'm not indestructible, but I'm very, very good at being prepared for things that might destroy me. I could've probably teleported the bullet through the fourth dimension to... I don't know, somewhere over the Atlantic Ocean maybe... but it'd be kinda risky, so I took the easier way out and just made my skull and chest temporarily bulletproof. The shots pushed me around a little, but the kinetic energy was spread over my entire body, so it barely even stung. A little illusion for dramatic blood, and there we are. Then I turned into a dragon and ate both those jerks right up!"

"Good!!" the tabby shouted instantly. "Did you chew 'em up good? Was there lots of blood?"

Alfie quickly shook her head. "No, no. It was all an illusion. I just made them *think* I was a dragon, and that they were being swallowed by me." She wrung her paws. "I don't think I *could've* really killed them, even though part of me wanted to. I... I'm just not made for something like that. But I did scare them pretty bad. They were in total catatonic shock when I left. They might never snap out of it, and I don't particularly care if they do."

The tabby suddenly lunged at Alfie in a measurelessly relieved hug. "Oh thank you!! Thank you so much! They were gonna kill me! They sell me to these awful men all the time and I get raped over and over and over again!"

John felt sick with revulsion at the very idea. "And are there more girls like you?"

She nodded immediately. "There's eight of us! He keeps us in a big barn out in the country. We have to stay in the basement all the time and we never get to see the outside unless they're taking us to a customer or taking one of us to be..." She trailed off, and began to sob again.

Alfie hugged her comfortingly. "Hush. It's okay now. You're safe, I promise."

"But what about the other girls?" the kitten asked.

	Alfie looked to John.

John did not have to be asked. "We're going to go find them right now." He put the key in the lock and revved the engine, pulling out into traffic hard and fast.

Needless to say, they didn't get any shopping done that day.

*****************

It was a very long day, but in the end, it was also an amazingly rewarding one.

The little girl's name was Kara. She helped John trace back the route Edward had taken from the country to the city, and all the way there she talked and talked about her horrible experiences as a slave. Once she began talking, she couldn't stop. It was like a gag had finally been taken out of her mouth. She was safe now, with people who were going to help her and all her friends. She was going to help them too. She was going to let her new friends know what the horrible people at the farm had done to her, and they were all going to stop it from happening ever again.

They arrived at the farm in a little less than an hour. It was completely isolated, and looked almost peaceful from the road. Just a picturesque three-floor house with flaking white paint and curtained windows. There was also a rickety red barn to the side. The place almost looked deserted. But not quite.

John stopped the car a quarter-mile away. Alfie told him to wait there and to keep Kara safe. The little fox stepped out of the car and told them both to wait for an all-clear signal, then to come as quickly as they could.

Then Alfie walked off down the road, towards the farm, a look of fury in her eyes.

Twenty minutes later, a bright rainbow firework shot up from the Farmhouse's roof. Taking that as the sign, John drove up quickly. He told Kara to stay in the car, but she would have none of that. She even threatened to bite him if he didn't let her help. Admiring her guts, he held the car door open for her.

As they ascended the porch steps, the front door of the stately, antebellum house opened, and out strode Alfie. She had a spot of blood on her dress, and a fiercely triumphant grin on her small muzzle.

Inside, John found seven huddled, frightened little girls, and three unmoving grownups whose faces bore the most horrific visages of fright the raccoon had ever seen.

With a little bit of pushing and squeezing, all eight girls were able to fit inside John's modest automobile. Alfie had to shrink to toddler size and sit on his lap. The girls were all trembling like little Jell-o cubs, but Kara lifted their spirits with the tale of her rescue and Alfie's promise that they were all safe and protected now and forever.

Just before they left, Alfie cast one more magick. She placed a 'mind's eye' above the farm, which would wait and watch, and take note of anyone who entered or approached, and would then relate the information back to Alfie. She would remember their faces well, all of them, and as time went by, she would pay *all* of them a visit some night. And she would bring the dragon with her...

"Welcome to McDoodley's. May I take your order please?"

"I'll have a combo #2 and eight happy meals."

	"Eight!?"

	"Nine!" corrected Alfie.

Seeing as neither of them could think of anywhere else to take them, Alfie and John took the girls back to their apartment and let them stay there for the night. It was ridiculously crowded, but everyone was so happy they couldn't have cared less.

The little ones all thoroughly enjoyed having a hot meal after so long of being fed whatever was deemed cheap and nutritionally sparse enough by Mr. Kent. He didn't want any of them strong enough to even *think* about escape.

But escape they had, and now came the problem of what to do with them all. John had to admit they were all adorable, and his heart yearned to just take them all in and let them stay with him forever. But not only was the apartment way too small (and also his cash flow), but there might be some legal ramifications of suddenly acquiring eight undocumented little girls.

For now though, they all had a warm, safe place to sleep, and that was enough. Tomorrow they would make plans. Tonight, they would sleep. The eight little girls all crowded into John's bed, while he humbly accepted the couch.

But before the sandman could come calling, Alfie had one more gift to give them all.

She stood at the foot of the bed, looking into the eyes of the eight scarred, scared little survivors, and *felt* their misery and their awful memories in her own heart. She told them that she did not possess enough magic to erase all their memories, and that that probably wouldn't have been good for them anyway. But what she *could* do was give them all a way to block those bad dreams; a 'mental corral' as it were. As Alfie touched each girl's forehead in turn, they all felt their worst memories herded up and placed within a solid, unbreakable box, deep within their minds. From now on, Alfie explained, their pasts could no longer control them. The bad memories would never come back unexpected. They would be safely locked away until they were needed, and would never give any of them nightmares ever again.

The eight little girls all hugged their new magic fox friend and thanked her for the wonderful gift. Then, of course, they all had to hug John too, and the blushing raccoon got quite flustered.

As he turned out the lights and then curled up on the couch, listening to the tiny, snoozy sounds already coming from his bedroom, he felt Alfie wriggle up under the covers beside him. The little fox laid her head on John's shoulder, and he gently stroked her fur.

He could tell she was utterly exhausted, maybe even to the point of having hurt herself. Alfie was proficient with magic, yes, but nowhere near all-powerful. Today she had pulled off more spells than John had ever seen her perform in a single day before. But he knew that Alfie had not seen it as a choice. It was a _necessity_. Alfie would have kept on as long as she had to to free those girls, even to the point of collapse. And John would not have stopped her. Because he understood that she *couldn't* have stopped, not until she knew the girls were all safe.

John thought about how this might be the first night in years those poor little girls had ever spent without fear of bad dreams. He gave Alfie a loving kiss. "I am so proud of you..." he whispered.

Alfie cooed, trying to hide how much her magic had fatigued and pained her tiny body, and kissed him too.

*****************

The next morning, while John went out to do some *actual* grocery shopping, Alfie and the girls had a long, serious talk.

The most obvious topic was how to find families for all of them now. All the girls were orphans, which was a large reason why they'd each been chosen for Mr. Kent's cruel harem. But two of the girls had vague memories of living relatives somewhere out there, and right away Alfie vowed to scour the Earth looking for them. (The night's rest had done her good. She wasn't back in tip-top condition yet, but she thought she might still be able to pull a rabbit out of a hat if she had to, so to speak)

The point was also made that the girls would probably never be able to live a completely 'normal' life. Even if they could control their memories now, there was no magic in the universe that could change their past, or undo the things they had all been forced to do.

The first thing, Alfie said, was to find out how they all felt about what had happened to them. Most of the girls didn't ever want anything to do with sex ever again, which was perfectly understandable. But Alfie made sure to tell them all that yiffing could be a very special, wonderful thing, so long as both fursons involved loved, trusted and respected one another. She told them all about her relationship with John, and even gave them a version of Amy's story (without naming names, of course). The point was, Alfie explained, that yiffing is not bad in and of itself. And while it was perfectly okay for all of them to never want to yiff again, it was also okay if they *did* want to. They should never have to feel guilty if, sometime in the future, when they were older, they met someone they loved and felt yiff feelings for them. In that case, it was perfectly okay, just so long as everything was consensual.

The girls thought hard about this and three of them (Kara included) admitted shyly that, once in a great while, they *had* enjoyed some of what they'd been forced to do. Every now and then, one of Mr. Kent's customers would treat them gently and make them feel good. Alfie told them it was okay to feel that way, that it was their choice to make and no one else's.

Lastly, Alfie told them that she had another gift to give them. She apologized for not thinking of it earlier, but the girls all assured her they were boundlessly grateful for everything the little fox and her raccoon friend had already done for them. Alfie smiled and thanked them. Then she told them to please take all their clothes off and stand in a line. Shyly, the girls did.

Concentrating hard, Alfie inspected their girl-places one by one. Drawing deep of what magic was left within her, the little kitsune healed all their cunnies, one by one, making all the hurt and pain go away. With a happy tingle that made all the girls murr in delight, Alfie gave them back something they'd thought was lost forever; their virginity.

When John returned home to find eight little girls standing in his livingroom with no clothes on, he let out a whoop, dropped the groceries and ran to the bathroom, trying desperately to hide his erection.

The girls all giggled, and Alfie went off to soothe her horny but honorable beau.

Over the course of the next week, the number of girls in John's apartment dwindled rapidly. This was both a relief and a regret for the raccoon. He had grown quite fond of all his young guests and loved the feeling it gave him inside to be able to care for them and keep them safe and happy. Still though, he lived in fear of accidental discovery, especially by the building super. There had indeed been some close calls where the girls had had to hide behind the couch and in the hall closet, trying hard to muffle their giggles.

After a thorough search of the astral plane during her daily meditation, Alfie was able to locate the families of two of the girls. Even though their mommies and daddies had died, they still had grandpas and grandmas and aunts and uncles who missed them and wondered what had happened to them. Two meetings were held, and two _very_ happy reunions resulted.

John searched for adoption centers in the area and spent hours on his computer going through news reports and public opinions before settling on one that was out of state but had an incredible success rate for placing hurt and abused little kits. Having decided that getting involved in the legal process might not be the best idea in the world, Alfie and John dropped the girls off anonymously outside the building after exchanging lots and lots of goodbye hugs and promises to keep in touch.

For the last three girls, things were a little difficult. These were the three that had admitted to liking yiffing a little, and didn't want to have to change that. Alfie knew that the other girls would likely receive counselling that would frown on the idea of kits making their own choices about their bodies, so the remaining girls would need a special solution.

And Alfie eventually found it, in the very strangest of places.

Since Alfie was a being far more different than an ordinary mortal, he had many advantages over other fursons. One of them was that the little fox didn't need to sleep quite as much as a mortal fur if he didn't feel like it. So, on several occasions, Alfie liked to stay up all night and surf the web on John's computer. (Though he did keep plenty of snacks on hand for energy during these occasional all-nighters)

He had long since discovered many, many child pornography sites. Some of which were cruel and awful (sometimes he would take a little trip across time and space and do something about it), and some that were actually quite tender. It was on a site that most definitely fell into the latter category that Alfie discovered a small but passionate grouping of writers and artists who created stories and images of cub yiff that focused on trust and caring and respect and real love. These were fursons who did not see children as sex toys, but who saw beauty in youth, who longed to recapture the magic of their own childhoods, or who wished for a little one they could be a good parent to.

Of these artists and authors, Alfie picked the ones that touched his heart most, and sent them very special emails. They asked simply; 'If an abused cub showed up on your doorstep one night, could you take her in and care for her as a parent, just as if she were your own child?'

Every author replied, but most of them sadly reported that, as much as they *wanted* to, their living conditions prevented it. Either because of unemployment, or still living with parents, or even being minors themselves.

But four of them said they could, and would.

Alfie had John call each of them up and tell them the question was not rhetorical, that there really were three little girls in desperate need of good homes. But these girls also needed someone who could understand the sad and confusing nature of their past, and would be able to deal with it if they wanted to explore and understand their sexuality.

All four authors agreed to meet with John and, hopefully, adopt one of the girls. None of them knew that anyone else had been asked. And all of them insisted the meetings be held in a public, neutral location, just in case John turned out to actually be The Fuzz. (John understood, and was planning on that anyway)

The meetings were scheduled and the first respondent showed up later on that same evening. By sheer coincidence, he lived only a few cities away.

Alfie was hiding in plain sight on a bench in the middle of the downtown shopping center. John was sitting across the way, and right on time, the man showed up. Alfie read his mind and heart as best he could.

Four meetings were held like that, and twice Alfie sensed only love and honesty in the souls of the men who responded to her plea. He was confident that neither of them would ever betray a child's trust. These two men were told to come back the next day, where they would get to meet their new adopted cubs.

The other two men were hollow inside. Their sweet and kindhearted art was only a mask for a compassionless soul. They wanted children to use, not love, and Alfie saw through them in an instant. They were told to come back the next day also. There they found a note in the spot where they expected a little girl. The note told them to go home immediately and to never, _ever_ try to contact them again.

Alfie and John said their goodbyes to the two lucky girls on the days of each return meeting, and waited out of sight to watch them meet their new daddies. Alfie had told both of them that if they were ever in trouble, if their new caregivers ever did anything they shouldn't, they could call out a distress signal, and Alfie would hear it in her heart and come as quick as she could. But judging by the beaming smiles all around as the cubs were led away to begin their new lives, that didn't seem very likely at all.

So two girls had homes, but one, alas, did not. As Kara had been alone at the beginning, she was now alone at the end, too.

But eventually, she got an idea. Reaching deep into her memory, she remembered a morning several years ago when a new customer had showed up at Mr. Kent's farmhouse. He was dressed in a nice blue suit, and smiled at Kara in a completely different way than the other men did.

This man was nervous. He was a grey squirrel, and said he had never been to a place like this before. A friend told him about it, he said. He was assured by Mr. Kent's associates that the girls were happy and well cared-for. But he could see in Kara's eyes how big of a lie that had been. When she began to strip for him, he quickly pulled her into a hug and told her that wouldn't be necessary. He held her for a long time, kissed her forehead gently, and told her he wished he could take her away from this place. Then, he had left. And Kara had heard loud shouting coming from the rooms below.

Edward told her later that the man had demanded his money back or he was going to tell the police everything. And that he might anyway, just on principle. Edward had calmed him down and told him, while fingering his gun, that that was probably not a good idea. The squirrel had turned away, fuming.

Naturally, Kara had been punished severely that night.

As she told her story, John had held her tenderly and Alfie had pledged to do her best to find this man. She had next to nothing to go on, but searching for souls is different than searching for people. By sheer luck, the man in the blue suit was revealed to the little kitsune during another meditation. Alfie was exhausted from all the magic she'd been using over the past week. But still, she carried on when Kara begged her and John to help her find the man who had been kind to her so long ago.

They drove out to his house late one night with the crescent moon high above. He lived in an ordinary little house in the suburbs. One car in the driveway. No toys in the front yard.

Alfie went with Kara to the door, putting on a relatively simple invisibility spell (or, more accurately, a 'please don't notice me' spell.) Kara rang the doorbell. When the man answered, he gasped in recognition and instantly knelt to hug her.

The two of them went inside. Alfie stayed to watch for only a moment longer; it was all she needed. The blast of caring and compassion she had read in the man's mind was enough to reassure her.

Back to John's small car she went. "Kara's home now," she said.

*****************

Several days later, John and Alfie were spending an enjoyable evening watching a movie together while snuggling on the couch and munching popcorn. The little kitsune'd had on a wet diaper the whole evening, and neither of them minded a bit.

A boy for now, Alfie said goodnight to John as he headed off to bed. The kitsune wanted to check his emails one more time, he said, and would join him shortly afterward.

John's head had just hit the pillow when Alfie's shouts snapped him to alertness. "John! John! Come quick! Look at this!"

He stumbled into the next room, discovering a fox so happy he was bouncing in his seat. "Good news?" John understated.

"Yeah!" Alfie burst out. "Read this! It's from Kara!"

Excited now too, John bent over the screen and read:

		Hi Alfie! Hi John!

I'm so happy! Thank you two so much!! My new daddy's name is
Joseph Cantrell. He said he's thought about me for years and
wants to take care of me forever and ever! He's really, really
nice, and handsome, too! It's like we've both been waiting for
this ever since the day we met. I want him to be my daddy just
as much as he wants me to be his daughter.

And the best part is, a few nights ago, we yiffed! It was fun!
I'd been telling him all about the bad stuff that happened to
me at the farm, and he was hugging me and telling me how sorry
he was he didn't rescue me right then and there that day we met.
And then all of a sudden, I just wanted to do something nice for
him. To show him I forgive him and that I love him and I'm so
glad he's letting me stay with him now. I took off my pajamas
and gave him a great big hug, and put my paw right on his yiffer!
He kinda squeaked, and told me I didn't have to. But I told him
I *wanted* to. And he said that if it was my choice, it was okay.
All we really did was cuddle and hug. He took off his clothes too
and I touched his thingy and he patted my tush and rubbed my fur.
I was purring a whole lot! We fell asleep together and the next
morning he made me some pancakes for breakfast and said I was the
prettiest, bravest, best little girl in the whole world!

Last night, it felt so much different from what I used to have to
do with the other men on the farm. I felt like I could say "stop!"
at any time, and he'd listen to me. That felt good. And he told me
that he loved me a whole bunch of times too. That's something else
		that's different.

Thanks again, guys. Thank you so much!

		A million hugs and kisses,
		Kara Cantrell

When John finished reading the letter, he turned to Alfie and gave the little pup the biggest hug he could. Alfie was almost crying with happiness. It felt so good to help others feel good too.

John picked Alfie up and tenderly carried him to bed.

"That letter gave me some ideas," Alfie said softly.

"Me too," John replied, giving his beloved pup a nose nuzzle.

Alfie slipped out of his own pajamas, so that he was wearing just his fur and a nice, clean diaper. He was still very tired from the massive amounts of magic he'd performed the past few days, but it was a *good* tired feeling. A feeling of accomplishment. Something to be proud of. He snuggled into John's arms like a plushie and John turned off the light.
